HOW I HELP

CRISIS, PLACEMENT, AND RE-ENTRY

When a loved one is struggling and the next step feels uncertain, I provide steady guidance to help navigate difficult decisions. I work with a family and treating professionals to understand immediate needs, clarify priorities, and determine whether local support or a therapeutic placement is appropriate.

Support may include:

  • Consulting with providers and reviewing records to identify gaps or the need for further assessment.

  • Identifying psychiatric or therapeutic resources and placement options.

  • Coordinating with the treatment team throughout a placement.

  • Planning for a return home or to school, with appropriate support in place.

TRANSITION AND PLANNING

Moving from one stage of life or level of care to another can bring both possibility and uncertainty. I help clients and families prepare for these changes with a plan that connects current progress to future goals.

Support may include:

  • Preparing for a new school, college, or greater independence.

  • Coordinating changes in providers, services, or levels of support.

  • Helping translate plans and building teams to operationalize skills learned in treatment.

  • Adjusting support as clients become more confident and capable.

EDUCATIONAL AND COLLEGE PLANNING

I help clients and families find educational environments where they can feel supported, engaged, and appropriately challenged. Together, we consider academic interests, learning needs, emotional well-being, and personal goals to identify schools or colleges that offer a strong fit. From exploring options and navigating applications to planning accommodations and preparing for the transition, I provide individualized guidance that looks beyond admission to the student’s experience once they arrive.

Support may include:

  • Helping clients become value-centered and empowered in their educational choices.

  • Exploring traditional day, boarding, therapeutic schools, and colleges.

  • Navigating school selection and applications.

  • Planning for accommodations and support needs.

  • Preparing for the client's experience beyond admission.

ONGOING CONSULTING AND MENTORSHIP

Sometimes, you need a trusted person to help you think through your options, make sense of challenges, or move toward a goal. I offer ongoing consulting and mentorship for adolescents and young adults who benefit from individualized guidance, whether they are feeling stuck or doing well and simply wondering what comes next.

Support may include:

  • Clarifying personal values, strengths, and goals.

  • Breaking larger aspirations into manageable next steps.

  • Navigating decisions, weighing options, and building self-advocacy.

  • Putting recommendations from a treatment team into practice.

  • Providing regular check-ins as new questions or challenges arise.

The relationship evolves with each client’s needs, with the goal of helping them make informed choices and take greater ownership of their direction.

NOT SURE WHERE TO BEGIN?

You do not need to know which service fits before reaching out. We can start with a conversation about what is happening and the support you are looking for.
