"When we met Elaine, we had already placed our daughter a year ago in a school that did not support her because she had unknown learning disabilities, that were only discovered after we brought her home without one credit achieved. "I can honestly say Elaine saved my son’s life. After losing my husband to suicide, my 14 year old high school freshman began to act out at home and school. He started to vape and smoke pot, experiment with alcohol, and scariest was the disrespect he showed me at home. I was a prisoner in my house. I would dread him walking in the door after school. He was out of control and I felt I had no control over him – no boundary was respected and I began to fear for both of us. The last straw was when I had to call 911 because he took some prescription pills that didn’t belong to him. He refused to go to therapy and it was his call for help. Thankfully, while he was admitted to the hospital, an adolescent psychiatrist told me about Elaine. I had never heard of an educational consultant, or wilderness therapy or therapeutic boarding schools for that matter. Fast forward 10 months and my son is starting to gain insight.
